Look Natural. Feel Radiant.

In the past, getting a massage was a luxury for those who could afford it.  However, these days more people are getting them regularly as the awareness of their long-term benefits increases.  At Natural Radiance, we are happy to bring this powerful wellness service to you.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is a gentle full-body massage that is great for people who are new to massage, or who want to release tension, or who desire gentle touch.  It can help release muscle knots, and it is also a good choice for when you want to fully relax during a massage.  The massage therapist will use a combination of:

  • Kneading
  • Long, flowing strokes in the direction of the heart
  • Deep circular motions
  • Vibration and tapping
  • Passive joint movement techniques

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is best for people who have muscle pain and tension or who simply want to relax. This type of therapeutic massage is similar to a Swedish massage, only the massage therapist uses heated stones in lieu of or in addition to their hands.  Hot stone massage may help:

  • Ease muscle tension
  • Improve blood flow
  • Alleviate pain
  • Promote relaxation
  • Relieve stress

During a hot stone massage, heated stones are placed on different areas of the whole body. Your therapist may hold a stone as they massage different parts of your body using Swedish massage techniques with gentle pressure. Sometimes, cold stones are also used.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage uses more pressure than a Swedish massage. It is a good option if you have muscle problems, such as:

  • Soreness
  • Injury
  • Imbalance
  • Tightness
  • Chronic muscle pain

During a deep tissue massage, your massage therapist will use slow strokes and deep finger pressure to relieve tension from the deepest layers of your muscles and connective tissues.  While deep tissue may be more intense, you should not feel any pain or soreness.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is a good option if you have a repetitive use injury to a muscle, such as what you may get from playing a sport. It’s also a good option if you’re prone to injuries, because it can be used to help prevent them. Sports massage can:

  • Increase flexibility
  • Improve athletic performance
  • Relieve pain
  • Reduce anxiety
  • Release muscle tension

A sports massage can be done as a full-body massage or on specific parts of the body that need the most attention. Deep pressure may be alternated with soothing strokes, depending on your needs.

Trigger Point Massage

Trigger point massage is best suited for people who have injuries, chronic pain, or a specific issue or condition.  Sometimes, areas of tightness in the muscle tissues, known as trigger points, can cause pain in other parts of the body. By focusing on relieving trigger points, this type of massage can reduce pain.  Some researchers have found that treatment of head and neck muscles with trigger point therapy may reduce frequency, intensity, and duration of tension and migraine headaches, though more research is needed. Trigger point massage uses alternating levels of pressure in the area of the trigger point to alleviate tension. The massage will include work on your entire body, though your therapist will focus on specific areas that need to be released.

  • May relieve headache
  • Reduces muscle tension

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymphatic drainage massage, also known as manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), is a type of gentle massage that encourages the lymph fluids to circulate through the body. The lymphatic system helps remove toxins, and improved circulation can help with a number of conditions, including:

  • Lymphedema
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Edema
  • Skin disorders
  • Fatigue
  • Insomnia
  • Stress
  • Digestive problems

  • Migraine
  • Headaches
  • Constipation

Lomi Lomi Therapy

‘Lomi lomi’ translates to ‘rub rub’ in Hawaiian, and reflects the broad, flowing strokes made with the therapist’s fingers, thumbs, palms, arms and elbows. Macadamia, palm and coconut oils are usually used as moisturizers in lomi lomi massage, to keep the strokes smooth and to nourish the skin. Many believe that the healing art of Lomi lomi was brought to Hawaii by the earliest Polynesian settlers, while others believe that it is deeply infused with the practice of ‘living aloha’ – a carry-over from ancient Hawaii and the mystical land of Mu. The Hawaiian lomi lomi massage can also be referred to as Kahuna bodywork.  Lomi lomi aims to treat the body and mind as one whole being. Benefits include:

  • Release tension
  • Assist blood and lymph flow
  • Eliminate waste and stimulate toxins
  • Rejuvenate the body
  • Instill a sense of peace, harmony and wellbeing.

Massaging different parts of the body at the same time is another unique feature of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage, wherein the recipient can feel a profound sensation of relaxation because multiple areas are being worked on. In this manner, Hawaiians believed that the normal flow and harmony of an individual can be achieved by the removal of toxins and wastes produced by an individual’s body.

Natural Radiance is dedicated to having you Look Natural and Feel Radiant! Massage therapy comes in many varieties all geared toward achieving a goal of physical and mental wellness.  Other services help to heal from within as well.  For example, it will be difficult to achieve optimal wellness if nutrition is off.  A consultation with the Natural Radiance holistic nutritionist may start you in a newer, healthier direction.  Hydration is always emphasized regardless of the type of massage received. Intravenous (IV) therapy immediately following a massage session is a relaxing way to quickly provide the necessary hydration, electrolytes, and minerals needed to get the most benefit from your body work.  If you are seeking massage therapy to recover faster from athletic endeavors, selecting the proper peptides as well as bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) may also help in that regard.  These are just some examples of how an integrated approach will exceed your expectations!

Transformative Experiences from our Clients

Angela M.

“So happy I came! Before I came to Natural Radiance, I admit I was a little overwhelmed about all the options out there. It was so hard to know what was real and what was a sales pitch. Dr. Edwards spent a lot of time with me going through everything, what I needed and what I didn’t need, showing how things worked, and more importantly how different treatments worked together. With this knowledge, I was able to come up with a plan that was individualized to me, not something pushed on me. The results were amazing!”

Kellee S.

“I found the Fountain of Youth! I went into Natural Radiance wanting to get rid of a few wrinkles, but I left feeling better as well! I LOVE how they address the whole person! This place is very different.”

Liz P.

“Wow! I wanted to look younger, but not “overdone” or make it so it was obvious to my husband and friends. I LOVE how everyone at Natural Radiance focuses on a gradual progression that leaves you looking natural. Now I look like a younger version of myself, not someone else. And no one knows I did anything – they just see me looking fabulous!”
